Balance Beam Faith

I found this Francis Chan video the other day.  I feel that it really sums up the “Christian” life for some people, including myself at times.  So many times we get comfortable where we are and don’t want to add anything else to our plates or take the next step for Christ.

My prayer for today is that I am never laying down or getting too comfortable with my faith.

What do you think of the video?  How do you prevent yourself from getting to that point?

Man aint that the truth - it is so hard sometimes to stand firm for God - scared of being called a “fanatict” and stepping on peoples toes so we play it safe - it is so hard to get out of the routine though because it’s comfortable - I wish there was an answer to how to stay standing for God - unfortunately it’s way easier said than done as are most things worth doing - but in todays culture it becomes even harder when it feels like everyone is pushing you towards “spirituality” rather than Christ because there can’t only be “one way” - I’m trying to find a way to keep my study of God’s word and my time with him fresh - I feel like once that gets in a routine our faith and life tends to follow - just have to find a way to fan that flame and desire to be more like Christ - I appreciate the post - oh and by the way you should check out his book called “crazy love” - there are some reminders of some important stuff in there but also some fresh new looks at faith and a true love for God - it comes highly recommended

    Peace
